Le chat noir
Today Pepe asked me to make a nice portrait of him, as someone has already noticed we like art (all the books behind Pepe and the muffins are art books), so here’s my tribute to him and to Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen who made the original advertisement poster in 1896…we love the bohemian parisienne charm of his works. And you?

You are so talented! This is my favourite card by you so far…a close tie with Mondriaan’s!
I envision an exhibition by Nextlola soon–a Zoo Tribute to artsists around the world… You should contact the L’Ouvre to see if they’ll show your work!
Thank you Josie!
I think I will do more illustrations inspired by art in the future…it’s so fun to bring a touch of Zoo in the greatest artist’s masterpieces.
P.S. I have ordered the Le Chat Noir postcards just yesterday
Even in a postcard, Pepe is able to scare me to death…..
Probably it’s because “Courage” is not your second name?
Pepe is adorable, especially when he sleeps.
Unaltramaura aka “the brave”…
I don’t like cats. (A childhood experience is to blame.)
but I’m “starting” to like Pepe
He will surely make you laugh somehow
