Here we are with another spring Zoo-bento box, this time is Asia’s turn.
My poor Asia tried any trick to eat the food around her, but at the end Vivace was the only lucky official taster.

Recently I am always late.
I don’t know which part of me is slower right now, mind or body…all I know is that I feel as I am entrapped in a slow-motion alternative life.
Maybe it’s just that I’ve just heaped-up so many things during these last weeks of study that although I am trying to catch up with, the pile of “undone things” is still very high. The good news is that I overcome the driving licence written tests (yeah!), soon I’ll start the driving lessons.

Anyway, here’s a new bento box inspired by the Nextlola’s Zoo, my friend Sweetbento made and awesome job once again!
Today is Pepe’s turn to show off all his energetic nature…and the lovely Vivace seems to appreciate it

You can never know what life will bring you.

In a boring rainy afternoon life led me into a collaboration with Sweetbento.
A lovely London based food artist that is now creating bento boxes inspired by my Zoo characters. The experience is amazing for me, and it’s fun to follow the whole food creation step by step.
Both of us can’t wait for spring to come, that’s why spring is our main theme.

Unluckily, at the end of the day I am not the one to eat the bento food, but her beautiful daughter Vivace.

Sunday it’s the only day of the week I can eat what I want and really like (damn diet!), even sweets and cakes. A new shop is appeared near the Zoo-house, and the look of its cupcakes was so awesome that we bought some.

My personal taster Pepe (actually just a sniffer) was very interested by the caramel one…and he was pretty right.

…Sunday is definitely my day.

I am pretty sure that Asia is now wishing to have a Siberian Husky coat

Not too many years ago I was a teenager student in an Art school, where we had a black and white darkroom (because once we were used to print pictures) and one of the coolest teacher ever.

A day this teacher started talking us of Italian Neorealism and showed us the 1951 movie “Miracle in Milan” by Vittorio De Sica. As often happens, I didn’t think to that movie for decades…until yesterday, when stone cold I had a look to the Zoo-sofa and I saw Alice enjoying a single ray of light while other pets were sleeping under they warm blankets. That single ray of light made her looking so blessed…and a scene of that movie was utterly back in my mind, and thanks to Youtube I can show to you too.

A year is gone and a new one came in.
In less of one month I have already felt blue, had the flu…but still haven’t any clue of what I should be doing to make things finally works.
As lots of other people I am now obsessed by things I would like to change in my life. There are many tasks I hope to accomplish in the next eleven months, I already know many of them will be miserly delayed to a date to be set, so the best strategy is staying focused on small goals:
- to improve my poor English (instead of letting it get worst year after year)
- to lose weight (yep!)
- to take driving licence

and possibly:
- to make Pepe understand he’s a domestic cat and not a wild panther caged in a small body.

Meanwhile (just to procrastinate one of the three points above a little more) I baked a (delicious) coffee cake and had a cup of the brand new “Prince Vladimir” tea with a friend in a cold winter evening…after all, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
