Zoo Invasion: Portugal
Finally yesterday weather turned to spring, people on TV say that it will last just for few days, so we all promptly moved outside the balcony to enjoy the sun and dreaming of a better view.
When I came back inside there were many surprises waiting for me in a box, my friend Renee from Pittsburg sent me many little scented soaps and moisturizing lotions and other cute stuff… luckily she sent anything short-dated as the postal trip took two months, TWO MONTHS!
My parcel was basically “ramsoned” by the Italian Custom duty.
I’m recently watching “Boardwalk Empire” and I’m pretty sure that if I could track a random parcel of 1920 it covered the distance between USA and Italy faster than my 2012 one.
And now, Mesdames et Messieurs, The Roaring 20′s…
P.S. thank you Paulo for sending me a picture from Portugal to make my “Invasion” collection grow…sometimes little things can make us very happy
Doomsday
On Saturday evening I left the Zoo-house (sometimes it happens) and the sleeping pets to hanging around with my friends. We went to Pozzuoli (also known as the city that gave birth to to the Italian actress Sophia Loren) and ate an icecream (not so good) watching the ships coming and going.
Naturally the scene wasn’t as doomsday alike as it showed on the picture but the weather wasn’t good at all, as attested by those scary clouds in the sky. I know I’m starting to be quite boring on this subject but if you live in the Southern Italy and the end of April looks as November there’s something really wrong that’s going on.
On Sunday, instead, I learned a great lesson, to beware carefully what I watch on TV when Pepe is around. I just finished to see Boardwalk Empire and Pepe made me such a long scratch on my face that I now look as Al “Scarface” Capone. Now he’s on the floor staring at me, it would be great to understand what’s up in his mind.
I don’t know why this picture make me think to “Kryptonite” by 3 Doors Down, so…
Zoo Invasion: Nova Scotia
It’s really hard to believe it’s spring, especially a Southern Italian spring, weather keeps to be cold and rainy. My pets are simply bored, it should be time to spend evenings in the sun or chasing flies and other flying insects, meanwhile all they can do right now is intimidate pigeons resting on the opposite building staying behind the closed window.
I would love to take my little troop and be able to scream “Beam me up, Scotty” and then rematerialize ourselves in Nova Scotia, to have a long walk around (if you google it you’ll see it looks amazing), and then knock to Han door to have a cup of tea together chatting about stuff. Considering all the Zoo postcards she shows I’m quite sure she wouldn’t mind ![]()
Thank you Han!
Zoo Invasion: Trieste (Italy)
Today I’m delighted to post a picture of a new friend of the Zoo, her name’s Luna and my little pets are very happy to see that also four-footed are enjoying our little project.
As it’s still rainy and cold all the Zoo-pets are sleeping in a warm places, so today all the work is up to Alice and me…actually we feel very very lazy too. Even parrots are not as noisy as they ordinary are.
We tried to find a virtual map to pin all the cities we receive a picture from, but we didn’t find any right for us. We used all our little English knowledge to try to focus the search: pushpin, pin map, custom map locations, geolocation etc…but no way to pick the right map. So now the new strategy is to pretend we totally quit the search and wait for the Fate to bring us into a blog page with the right widget to steal
Trying to refind the “will of doing something”, I’ll surrender to the shame of laziness. Sometimes new goals are much harder to find than to achieve.
