Frida Kahlo notebook
I had a wonderful plan for today, a day off!
A whole day for relaxing, doing little pleasant things, playing with the Zoo…but it seems that I can’t stop to be Nextlola (where’s Lola when I need her??). I had a quiet breakfast and sent many emails when I have started to think those little many things related to my work and now I can’t stop to work! So, here’s a new notebook available in my Etsy and Dawanda shops. Some of these brand new notebooks are gone before I had the time to list them…thank you very much world for buying Zoo-stuff!
Arturo just fell asleep on the mouse, covering part of the monitor with his body…maybe this is the sign that I should stop to work and pick up the book I would like to read, NOW!
Cats could be so wise.
Human beings just have to be so smart to understand what they’re trying to teach us…
…a life of idle.
2012 agenda book: type #1
Here we go! Yesterday I worked until late to place the order for these lovely 2012 agenda books.
They’re weekly, they’re written in English and got many extra “Contact” and “Notes” pages. Size is mm. 139×216 (inches 5.5×8.5). No illustrations inside (sorry) but you can choose among four differents covers:
- Venus (blue cover)
- Frida Kahlo (red cover)
- The Chat Noir (yellow cover)
- Japanese style
Prize is quite interesting, isn’t it?
Now it’s time work on the pocket agenda books, as the deadline to buy them is tomorrow. I’m in a hurry but the sweet Alice seems not to care while she’s sleeping and pouring on my lap.
2012 pocket weekly agenda book (Work in progress)
While Pepe is jumping all over as a crazy ball in a flipper machine and Arturo is here on the coach hidden under a sheet to pretend to be invisible, I am trying to work on the new 2012 weekly agenda book. Last year I was too late so I had to rush and I could only print few of them, but this year I want to do a good and relaxed job in a proper time.
There are many things I have to do (possibly in a short time):
- discover if I can print the agenda in English and not just in Italian
- to decide which illustrations use and to adapt the vertical ones to an horizontal space
- to find some fun and interesting quotes
- to decided which illustration to use for the cover
- to make some brand new illustrations
But above all I have to undertsand how many should I print…not easy to do, as agendas are generally sold just at the end of the year or during the first weeks of the new year. I really need a crystal ball…or at least a way to discover if anyone out there could be interested to buy them.
Any suggestion?
Zoo-shelf
Are you wondering how a shelf of an illustrator should look??
Well, I don’t know, as I have to put all my drawing supplies into boxes and drawers, to avoid to lose my stuff by cats’ paws. If you have a cat you know how much they like to batter down everything they see…well, I got three + Pepe (Pepe counts as three cats all-in-one). I am still wondering where my favourite pencil could be.
I can only watercolor while Pepe sleeps, he’s obsessed by water, and I’m obessed by him trying to steel my water glasses. He made my watercolor pads fly all over many times, he also turned all the stuff on my desk into a green blend, or a blue nuance more than once.
Nothing can keep him far from water…deep inside he’s a fish.

P.S. Those cute little bottles were placed there just temporary, of course.
Halloween postcard set
Here I am, stucked between summer heat and a raising Halloween mood.
Although Southern Italy is still hot as hell Autumn is coming, and internet is already becoming a spooky place. Halloween things are slowly appearing dispersedly…and I got that I am always too late in placing my postcards sets in my Etsy and DaWanda shops, so this year I wanna be one of the first!
I am a bit worried as I can’t see Asia’s bat wings anywhere since the works in the Zoo-house were made…and for sure I don’t have time to sew a new pair, sigh!
